About the Finish Program

The Zip Water Finish Program offers eligible faucets in a curated range of Specialty finishes, along with project-specific Bespoke finishes, beyond our standard Factory Finishes. Each order is finished, inspected, and delivered as one complete Zip Water unit.

Each Specialty and Bespoke finish is applied to the chrome version of your chosen faucet. The finished faucet is then inspected and delivered to you as a single, complete unit.

The program is currently available in the continental United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

Celsius Plus All-in-One, Celsius Plus All-in-One Pull-Down, Arc Plus, Cube Plus, Elite Plus, and Classic Plus are eligible, subject to finish compatibility and final order review.

Touch-Free Wave and Classic aren’t available in the new Factory Finishes, or in Specialty and Bespoke finishes. Please refer to their spec sheets for the finishes they’re currently available in.

Yes. Drain Fonts/Drip Trays are available in Specialty and Bespoke finishes to match your faucet. Your showroom consultant can help confirm the right one for your selection.

Finishes

Brushed Bronze and Brushed Gunmetal are the newest additions to our Factory Finish range.

Both finishes are available on Celsius Plus All-in-One Pull-Down, Celsius Plus All-in-One, Arc Plus, and Cube Plus. They’re also available on Elite Plus and Classic Plus as a special order.

Polished Brass (PB 1104), Unlacquered Brass (ULB 1124), Unlacquered Copper (ULCPR 1424), Black Nickel (BLKN 1611), Antique Gold (AG 8320), Antique Bronze (AB 6501), Antique Polished Nickel (AN 1634), Antique Brass (ABM 2689), Matte Pewter (MPEW 1622), and Oil Rubbed Bronze (ORB 2769).

A Bespoke finish is developed for a specific project. Bespoke orders are accepted once Zip Water has confirmed the finish is feasible, approved the finish color in writing, and issued a project-specific quote.

Factory Finishes are part of our standard offering. Specialty and Bespoke finishes are made to order for your project, so they follow a different ordering, returns, and warranty process.

A living finish is uncoated, so it responds to its environment and develops a natural patina over time. Unlacquered Brass, Unlacquered Copper, and designated Bespoke finishes are living finishes.

Living finishes are chosen for the way they evolve with use. If a consistent appearance over time matters most for your project, a non-living Specialty or Bespoke finish may be a better fit. Your showroom consultant can help you compare.

Specialty and Bespoke finishes may vary in tone, texture, color, and appearance. This natural variation is part of the character of a made-to-order finish, so your faucet may differ slightly from a sample or photo.

Ordering and lead times

Orders begin with a visit to an authorized showroom. Your showroom consultant will help you select your faucet and finish, confirm compatibility, and prepare your quote.

Pricing varies by faucet and finish. Your showroom consultant will provide a quote for your selection. Bespoke finishes are quoted individually for each project.

Before your order is released, please review the faucet model and water type, finish, compatibility, pricing, quantity, timing, delivery details, and estimated lead time with your showroom consultant. No changes can be made once the order is processed, so this is the moment to check every detail.

Estimated lead times for Specialty and Bespoke finishes are based on order quantity: 5-6 weeks for 1 to 4 units, approximately 8 weeks+ for 5 to 9 units, and 10-14 weeks for 10 or more units, plus shipping. Lead times may vary based on finish, quantity, material availability, and project requirements. Zip Water will confirm timing before production begins.

Brushed Bronze and Brushed Gunmetal ship with a standard lead time on Celsius Plus All-in-One Pull-Down, Celsius Plus All-in-One, Arc Plus, and Cube Plus. On Elite Plus and Classic Plus, they’re special order only, with a 90-day lead time.

Specialty and Bespoke finishes are made to order and can’t be returned, except under an approved warranty claim. Once your order has been released to production, it can’t be changed or cancelled.

We recommend sharing three things before the order is placed: the order can’t be changed or returned once released, the finish may vary in tone and texture, and the care instructions and warranty terms for the finish they’ve chosen.

Care and cleaning

Use only a soft cloth with a mild soap solution. Rinse as needed and dry immediately.

Avoid abrasives, scouring powders, metal polish, bleach, ammonia, acids, solvents, descaling agents, and aggressive cleaners. These will damage the finish and void the finish warranty.

Don’t allow water, soap, or cleaning products to remain on the surface. Drying the faucet after use and after cleaning is the simplest way to protect the finish.

Impact damage and mineral buildup can affect the finish, as can improper cleaning. Taking care around the faucet during daily use helps it look its best.

Warranty

No. Original Zip Water components remain covered by the applicable product warranty and Terms & Conditions. The finish program doesn’t change that coverage.

Non-living Specialty and Bespoke finishes have a one-year limited finish warranty from the date of shipment. It covers verified application or adhesion defects under normal indoor use.

The one-year period begins at shipment, not installation.

Living and uncoated finishes, including Unlacquered Brass, Unlacquered Copper, and designated Bespoke finishes, don’t carry a finish warranty, because they’re designed to change over time.

Wear, patina, variation, damage, buildup, misuse, and improper cleaning are excluded.

Email [email protected] with the following: proof of purchase, order and finish details, clear photos of the finish, the installation date if available, and confirmation that the recommended care instructions were followed.
